Folreader is a place to keep and read books you own. This page explains, in plain language, what we store and why.

What we store

  • Your account: name, email address and a one-way hash of your password. We cannot see your password.
  • Your books: the files you upload, a small cover image made from the first page, and details such as title, author and page count.
  • Your reading: the page you are on in each book, your bookmarks, collections and reading time, so you can continue on any device.
  • Sign-in records: which browsers are signed in, with their IP address, so you can review and end sessions.
  • Payments: if you subscribe, your plan and billing period. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach our servers.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or share your data, show ads, or use tracking cookies.
  • We do not read, scan or analyse the contents of your books. Staff cannot open your files through our tools.
  • Your books are private to your account. There is no public sharing.

Cookies

One cookie keeps you signed in. Your reader preferences and last position are also kept in your browser so reading resumes instantly.

Your control

  • Download any book from your library at any time.
  • Export your account data from Settings.
  • Delete a book, or your whole account, from Settings. Account deletion removes your files and data permanently after a 7-day grace period.
